“Dynamic Control and Optimization” International Conference, DCO 2021
CALL FOR PAPERS
It is our pleasure to announce the International Conference “Dynamic Control and Optimization”, DCO 2021, https://sites.google.com/view/dco2021/dco-2021 on occasion of the 65th Birthday of Professor Andrey Sarychev, to be held at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, from February 3 to 5, 2021.
The conference is organized by the Department of Mathematics of the University of Aveiro, the Center for Research & Development in Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA, University of Aveiro) and the Center for Applied Mathematics and Economics (CEMAPRE, University of Lisbon).
Aims and Scope
The aim of DCO 2021 is to bring together academic specialists and promote a broad exchange of information and new developments in dynamic control and optimization from the theoretical as well as from the application point of view. Among the topics of the conference are recent results in nonlinear dynamical control systems, control of evolution PDE, optimal control, sub-Riemannian geometry, ordinary differential equations, calculus of variations, stochastic differential equations, propagation of acoustic waves in elastic media, dynamics in space-time, optimal control under delay, anticipation or regime switching, and robust optimal control.
During the conference we will commemorate the 65th birthday of Professor Andrey Vasil’evich Sarychev, presently professor at the University of Florence, Italy, who during the period from 1993 to 2002 was working at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Aveiro where he was engaged in active pedagogic activity and played a major role in the scientific development and research activities. He collaborated with over 30 co-authors from nine countries, and supervised seven PhD students and three young researchers from Portugal and France.
Venue
Due to the COVID-19 situation and the possible lockdown, the conference is planned to be held simultaneously in two forms:
attended at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Aveiro;- virtually will be announced in the conference webpage https://sites.google.com/view/dco2021/dco-2021.
To provide the participants of the conference an access to Plenary sessions, the Invited Speakers’ talks are planned to be transmitted by video either online or in record.
Regardless of how we handle the conference, we want to assure everyone that there will be a forum for contributors to share their work and participants to learn and network.
Scientific Program
The scientific program of the DCO 2021 conference will consist of invited plenary talks (40 minutes + 5 minutes) and contributed paper presentations (25 minutes + 5 minutes). We kindly invite you to contribute to the scientific program of the conference by organizing thematic sessions, submitting abstracts and participating in the conference in either attended or online form. All abstracts will be considered by the members of the International Scientific Committee. The accepted abstracts will be published in the electronic form in the Book of Abstracts.
Publications
The participants of the conference will have an opportunity to submit their full length papers to a Special Issue of Optimization, a Journal of Mathematical Programming and Operations Research, Taylor and Francis, https://www.tandfonline.com/loi/gopt20
We plan also to issue a Proceedings volume in CCIS, Communications in Computer and Information, Springer, https://www.springer.com/series/7899
