Submission deadline | June 7, 2022 |
The conference on Design of Circuits and Integrated Systems (DCIS) is an international meeting for researchers in the highly active fields of micro- and nano-electronic circuits and integrated systems. It provides an excellent forum to present and discuss works on the emerging challenges offered by technology, in the areas of modeling, design, implementation and test of devices, circuits and systems.
This 37th edition is organized by Universidad Pública de Navarra in Pamplona. A fully in-person event is planned. We will implement and monitor safety precautions as the health and safety of the participants is our first priority.
Submission Guidelines
REGULAR PAPERS
We encourage submission of manuscripts (IEEE single-spaced, double-column, A4 page, 6 pages maximum) employing the IEEE manuscript templates for conference proceedings. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Please, do not include any identifying information, such as the authors' names or affiliations, to allow a blind review process.
To submit your manuscript, please click on the following link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dcis2022
Accepted papers with at least one registered author and signed copyright that are presented at the conference will be published on IEEEXplore.
Based on the reviewers' and the awards-committee's evaluation a Best Paper Award will be given during the conference.
Extended versions of top-ranked papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of Elsevier's "Integration, the VLSI Journal".
SPECIAL SESSIONS
The DCIS 2022 technical program will include Special Sessions. Their objective is to complement the regular program with relevant topics that are of particular interest to our audience and that may also cut across and beyond disciplines traditionally represented at DCIS.
Each Special Session will comprise at least three presentations of about 20 minutes each. Prospective organizers of Special Sessions should submit proposals with the following information:
- Title of the session
- Rationale of the interest for the Special Session to DCIS; the rationale should stress the interest of the topic and/or its multidisciplinary features (if any)
- Short biography of the organizers
- List of at least three potential contributions from different authors (including titles, authors and a short abstract).
- Proposals should be sent via e-mail to the Special Session Chair (pablo.ituero@upm.es) by April 15th, 2022.
The acceptance of each Special Session will be decided and notified by the Program Committee upon reception, and published in the conference web page.
After approval of Special Session proposals, manuscripts may be submitted to the special sessions using the same Easychair link and should conform to the formatting and electronic submission guidelines of regular DCIS papers. Papers will undergo the same review process as regular papers under their specific track (select "Special Session" as topic at submission time). It is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that their Special Session papers meet DCIS quality standards. If, at the end of the review process, fewer than three papers are accepted, the session will be cancelled and the accepted papers will be moved to regular sessions.
PHD COMPETITION
n its continuous intention of improving the discussion possibilities among junior and senior researchers, this year the 4th edition of the PhD Poster Competition is scheduled. Apart from Poster displaying during all the conference, PhD Students could explain briefly their research advances and discuss with the conference attendees session during coffee breaks. Students will benefit from reduced registration fees. The student with the highest score on the poster and the discussion will receive an award and present its work in the closing session of the conference.
All topics related with the conference’s scope are welcome. Research projects should be original, not previously published in conferences or journals, and will be included in the PhD Forum proceedings.
PhD Students are encouraged to submit a 1-page .PDF file in Pentachart format (template available in the conference website) by May 31st, 2022. Submissions must be sent using the Easychair link (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dcis2022) and selecting "PhD competition" as topic.
Accepted works will be required to submit an abstract (IEEE single-spaced, double column, A4 page, 2 pages maximum) using the Easychair submission link by September 10th, to be published in the PhD Forum Proceedings.

Venue
The DCIS 2022 conference will take place in the Planetarium of Pamplona. It is a city landmark in the only garden of Japanese design that exists in Spain, the beautiful Yamaguchi Park. It is surrounded by several hotels and restaurants and only a few minutes walking from the historical center of the city.
The city of Pamplona in northern Spain is the capital of the autonomous region of Navarra. It is a historic destination world famous by writer Ernest Hemingway for its bullrunning festival which takes place every July. It is also the first Spanish city on the French Way of the Camino de Santiago pilgrim’s route. It is a top culinary destination where Michelin-starred chefs share the spotlight with locals preparing traditional “pintxos”. The region owns a privileged nature with must-do day trips: wineries, quaint towns of the Baztan Valley in the shadow of the Pyrenees, explosive colors of the Irati forest at Autumn, cider making, desert caves and the stunning villages along the Camino de Santiago.
