Biometrics is one of the emergent areas for the investigation to offer secured human authentication in several smart applications. The key examples of biometric traits include fingerprint, iris, face, hand geometry, DNA, gait, palm print, voice, signature, vein pattern, palm print, etc. The biometric-based human authentication systems are used to offer secured access in real-life applications such as secured surveillance, digital forensics, banking, smart homes, smart cities, border control, attendance monitoring, passport, e-governance, etc. However, designing efficient and accurate biometric-based systems is a key issue that can be tackled via computer vision-based techniques. This book aims to foster machine and deep learning algorithms to leverage digital image processing for designing accurate biometrical applications. We welcome submissions on the following topics related to computer vision for biometric applications.

Submission Procedure: Prospective authors are requested to submit an abstract within 150-200 words with all authors' full names, affiliations, and email id up to 5-7 keywords to us via EasyChair. Full chapters up to 8000-12000 words are expected to be submitted in a single-column format (Font 10) for initial submission and all authors must consult guidelines for manuscript submission. Acceptance of a book chapter depends on originality, technical soundness, clarity of presentation, and scientific contribution.
Note that all chapters will go through similarity software and the publisher’s guidelines are an overall similarity index of less than 10% (with a maximum of 3% from any single source).
Publisher: The book will be published under the CRC, Taylor and Francis Group imprint and will be indexed by Scopus and submitted to Web of Science.
