About CTE2020
International Conference on Computational Thinking Education 2020 (CTE2020) is the 4th international conference organized by CoolThink@JC. The conference will be held on 7-9 May 2020 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, one of the largest conference venues in Hong Kong. CTE2020 will be the most remarkable event of the Programme for worldwide sharing of ideas as well as dissemination of findings and outcomes on the implementation of computational thinking development. In addition to paper presentation, an International Teacher Forum will be organised this year, which aims to set a stage for K-12 CT teachers worldwide to share best practices and key challenges of implementing CTE in different countries/regions. Submission Guidelines
- Please submit your manuscript via EasyChair for CTE2020 as a single MS Word file with authors’ name, affiliation and email address that is editable for Secretariat’s format check.

- Before submitting your manuscript, please give your manuscript a final read-through to ensure it fulfills the format and paper-length required by CTE2020.

- Paper Language: English or Chinese
- (For Chinese papers, please include a new page with English title, abstract and keywords after the reference page.)
- Paper length (including references): Full paper - 5 to 6 pages; Short paper - 3 to 4 pages; Poster - 2 pages.
- To standardise the information, please input author’s information and submission details on EasyChair in ENGLISH.
After checking the format and paper length, the Secretariat will upload the manuscript with authors’ identities removed in PDF format for IPC review.

Publication
All accepted papers will be published in ISSN-coded proceedings.
Venue
The conference will be held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), one of the largest conference venues in Hong Kong.
Scholarship Application
Application Eligibility
- Full-time doctoral student in any field of study at any tertiary institutions in any regions; and
- Have at least one paper accepted as first author by the International Programme Committee as full / short / poster paper(s) for presentation at CTE2020.
Details of Scholarship Awards
According to International Program Committee's review and International Advisory Committee's recommendation, successful applicants will be awarded one of the following scholarships:
Full Scholarship
- will be given to selected short or long paper authors with high quality submission;
- will cover full expenses on (i) conference registration, (ii) round-trip flight tickets in economy class between awardees’ institute or place of residence and Hong Kong.
Half Scholarship
- will be given to selected short or poster paper authors with submission that have contribution to computational thinking education;
- will cover half expenses on (i) conference registration , (ii) round-trip flight tickets in economy class between awardees’ institute or place of residence and Hong Kong.
Application Procedure
Interested doctoral students should
- submit their paper to CTE2020 via Easychair by 2 December 2019; and
- send the completed Scholarship Programme Application Form with a proof of your valid full-time student status^ (e.g. student ID card or transcript that shows your name, full-time doctoral student status, valid date) to CTE2020 Secretariat at cte2020@eduhk.hk by 2 December 2019.
^ Applications without a proof of valid full-time student status will be declined.

CTE2020 International Teacher Forum
Aim
CTE2020 International Teacher Forum aims to set a stage for K-12 CT teachers worldwide to share best practices and key challenges of implementing CTE in different countries/regions.
Eligibility
K-12 CT teachers are welcome to submit papers to CTE2020 International Teacher Forum.
Submission Guidelines
- Paper length (including references): 2 pages
- Paper Language: English or Chinese
- (For Chinese papers, please include a new page with English title, abstract and keywords after the reference page.)
- Please select your country/region as the track of your paper on EasyChair.
- Please submit your manuscript via EasyChair for CTE2020 International Teacher Forum by 16 December 2019 as a single MS Word file with authors’ name, affiliation and email address that is editable for Secretariat’s format check.

Registration, Presentation and Publication
Registration fee will be waived for K-12 CT teachers. Presentation will be held during the conference on 9 May 2020 (Saturday). All accepted and presented teacher papers will be published in ISBN-coded proceedings for online open access.
