CONGREGA 2024: 1st Ibero-American Congress on Engineering Asset Management FIL Meeting Center Lisbon, Portugal, July 3-5, 2024

1st Call: Abstracts are accepted until 30 Oct 2023 (English, Spanish or Portuguese). 

The Book of Abstracts and Expanded Manuscripts will be published in Springer and Ponteditora (indexed in Scopus).

CONGREGA 2024 is the 1st Ibero-American Congress on Engineering Asset Management. It is a joint collaboration of universities, business, public organizations, research centres, and representatives of civil society.

The core theme is “Sustainable and Digital Innovation in Engineering Asset Management” and it will be held at a world class venue in Lisbon (Parque das Nações) from 3-5 July 2024.

There are BEST PAPER awards for different topics and categories and special ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARDS for the most impacting innovation projects.

• Abstract submission (max. 2 pages): scientific papers, entrepreneurship competition, industry presentations, special sessions, keynote addresses
• Manuscript submission (max. 6 pages): after abstract acceptance, manuscripts are submitted and screened into academic and non-academic categories and processed accordingly

• Oral presentations, pitches, roundtables, and special sessions of accepted submissions

• Publication of all accepted abstracts in the Book of Abstracts
• Publication of expanded full-length manuscripts in scientific journals

Instructions for submission

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

Academic contributions

• For submitting academic contributions (abstracts, manuscripts and full papers) use the EasyChair platform

• Abstracts and full papers should be submitted in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.

• Abstracts should be no longer than 2 pages and have a maximum of 500 words, with no references, images or pictures 

• Papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference

• Manuscripts should be submitted as .DOC documents 

• Manuscripts should be no longer than 6 pages (including references and appendices) using the available Template: Portuguese, Spanish or English

• Selected papers can be extended up to 18 pages and undergo peer and editorial review for full-length paper publication in Engineering Asset Management Review, Revista Ativos de Engenharia (Journal of Engineering Assets), or Journal of Entrepreneurial Researchers.

Non-academic contributions

• For submitting non-academic contributions (panel sessions, seminars, industry sessions, workshops) use the EasyChair platform

• All proposals need to be submitted with an Abstract (in English, Portuguese, or Spanish) no longer than 2 pages (including references, images or pictures, if any)

• Any accompanying documents (e.g. presentations) should be submitted as .PDF documents 

Oral presentations (academic or non-academic contributions)

• Delegates aiming at making an oral presentation only, must always submit an Abstract (see above) to be included in the Book of Abstracts of the congress

• Oral presentations will be 12 minutes long with 3 minutes for questions and answers

• Presentations can be made in English, Portuguese or Spanish

• There is no Template for presentations
