Welcome to COISINT 2020!
We invite you to the III International Conference of Intelligent Systems and New Technologies: Interdisciplinary Trends in Health that will take place from May 6th to 8th, 2020 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE), in Quito. This is the third edition of an event whose essential objective will continue promoting international cooperation and integration between emerging areas of knowledge and with a high impact on today's society.
On this occasion, the analysis and reflection on intelligent systems, new technologies and interdisciplinary trends in health are proposed: medicine, nursing, human nutrition, physical therapy and psychology, between multiple and diverse subjects possible. Once again, a dialogue space conducive to make visible the lines of research and the leading projects that are being carried out from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Accepted research will be published in the Iberian Journal of Information Systems and Technologies, included in the SCOPUS index (SJR - Q.3). Based on several thematic lines, COISINT 2020 will include sessions of oral presentations (face-to-face and virtual) of accepted research papers, as well as keynote lectures by influential researchers from the intelligent systems and new technologies community.
Together with the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), the academic event will be supported by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador Sede Ibarra (PUCESI), Universidad de Los Andes (Venezuela), Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (Chile), Edwarsville Southern Illinois University (Estados Unidos), Escuela Politécnica Nacional (Ecuador), Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial (Ecuador) and the Asociación Ibérica de Sistemas y Tecnologías de Información (Portugal).
Submission Guidelines
Papers sent to COINSINT 2020 will be submitted for a strict review through a blind peer evaluation conducted by an International Scientific Committee. Fundamental part of an editorial process that reserves the right to decide on acceptance, acceptance with changes or rejection of the submission of papers and that will assess whether:
- They are relevant to the discipline.
- They really constitute a new contribution of results.
- They are written clearly and with adequate scientific rigor.
- They are original and unpublished and constitutes reference to some of the areas of interest on which the congress deals.
Authors may submit for consideration a single work as the main author and a maximum of three works in total. A maximum of six authors may be submitted per communication. The papers could be sent in Spanish, English or Portuguese, conscientiously respecting the format provided and not exceeding, in any case, the 15 pages within the established template. The complete texts will be sent through the EasyChair platform. Those authors who are not users of the application must register by selecting “create an account” on the main page.
- First Sending “blind”: in order to guarantee anonymity in the review process, the PDF format papers sent through EasyChair cannot contain data on signatures, entity, affiliation, emails or any other information that allows to verify the author’s identity. The required format can be obtained at the following links: Spanish, Portuguese and English.
Upon completion of this stage in which the Editorial Committee receives the research submissions, the papers will be sent to the International Scientific Committee for review and evaluation. At that time, the authors can no longer change the order of authorship, nor increase signatures in the works submitted.
- Second Sending “final”: once the work is approved, the paper will be reloaded in EasyChair, updating the first version uploaded to the platform. Separately, this final paper (with corrections done) will be sent in Word and PDF format to the following email addresses: coisint@puce.edu.ec, frivas6@gmail.com & carmelomarquez@gmail.com.
All research must be registered at the event, after having formalized the payment until April 6th, 2019.
