SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS
The conference will use the English language for its written work, but it will also be possible to submit written contributions in Portuguese. In any case, all presentations (including the slides) must be in English. If applicable, the possibility of organizing a restricted number of sessions with Portuguese communications shall be considered by the Conference Organization
Types of Submissions
Authors may submit papers that present relevant research, development, application, or innovation work on issues related to the topic list. Submissions have two alternative formats, abstract only or paper. Both will be subject to scientific review and, if accepted, included in the conference program for presentation.
Abstract Submission
One-page abstracts must be submitted using the following format (MS Word). If accepted, in addition to being considered for presentation (oral or poster), they will be integrated into an electronic book of abstracts of the conference.
Paper Submission
The length of papers may range between a minimum of 4 pages and a maximum of 10. All accepted English written papers will be submitted for indexing by IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. Accepted papers will be considered for oral or poster presentation. The papers will also be integrated into the electronic proceedings of the conference, to be distributed on the conference website.
Format for Submission
Articles should be submitted in the following A4 format (IEEE templates). In the initial submission, the names of the authors should not be filled in order to ensure the impartiality of the review process.
IEEE conference templates contain guidance text for composing and formatting conference papers. Please ensure that all guidance text is removed from your conference paper prior to submission to the conference. Failure to remove template text from your paper may result in your paper not being published.
Submission and Review
The submission process is done electronically. The selection process includes two stages:
-
- Initial Submission – An electronic version (PDF) of the article is submitted anonymously (i.e. without reference to the authors). It is then reviewed and accepted or not. The Program Committee may consider acceptance for oral or poster presentation. The authors will be notified of the decision.
-
- Final submission and registration of the author – Authors of accepted papers should submit the final version in PDF format according to the instructions available and taking into account the comments of the reviewers. At least one of the authors has to register to attend the conference and present the article. It should be noted that only articles submitted can be considered for indexing by IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
Venue
CISPEE 2021 will be hosted at Instituto Superior Técnico Congress Center situated in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture building (Pavilhão de Civil).
Instituto Superior Técnico (Google Maps) is located at a convenient distance from hotels, restaurants and diverse cultural sites.
Being close to the Lisbon city centre, Instituto Superior Técnico is easily reached by metro (metro station “Alameda” – Red and Green lines; metro station “Saldanha” – Red and Yellow lines), bus, taxi or car from any location in town, including the airport (metro station “Aeroporto”- Red line), which is only a 10 minute taxi ride.
