Seventeenth Annual Conference
CCSC - MidSouth
Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges
University of Arkansas - Little Rock (Little Rock, AR)
April 12-13, 2019
CCSC Mid-South provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge, skills
and best practices in the field of computing, including computer
science, information systems, information technology, data assurance,
knowledge engineering, cyber security and computing education.
CCSC Mid-South will be holding the Seventeenth Annual CCSC Mid-South
conference at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock on April 12th and 13th, 2019.
We invite participation from researchers, teachers, students,
administrators and other interested persons.

SUBMISSIONS
Professional Papers.
We invite professionals (including graduate students) to
submit papers to be presented at the conference and printed
in the Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges. The deadline
for these submissions is Monday, Dec 17, 2018
Student Papers.
We invite undergraduates who have conducted research projects
to submit papers, and present their research at the conference.
(These papers are not printed in the Journal, so the submission
deadline is Monday, March 18, 2019.)
Panels, Tutorials, and Workshops.
We invite proposals from presenters for these.
The deadline for these submissions is Monday, Dec 17, 2018.
SUGGESTIONS for Panels, Tutorials or Workshops.
If you have a topic that deserves attention but you feel
unable to lead or present the topic, please send the suggestion
to dmiddleton@atu.edu, and we will look for people who might
take it on. Please include "CCSC" in the subject line,
and submit suggestions by the end of December.
Nifty Assignments.
These are reviewed and abstracts are published in the Journal;
the deadline is Monday, Dec 17, 2018.
Lightning Talks / Posters.
The committee is considering providing an opportunity
for participants to raise a topic for other participants
to bounce around. Please submit a one paragraph summary
by Monday, March 18, 2018, that we can gauge whether
to attempt this during an extended snack period.

Programming Competition.
A Programming Contest for 3-person, college teams will
be held on Friday afternoon, April 12th.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
The registration fee of $150 covers conference attendance
and T-shirts for the members. The team must have
a faculty sponsor registered for the conference.
Programming Team members are encourages to attend other
sessions at the conference. Student Papers are usually
scheduled on Saturday. Student presenters who are also in
programming teams only need to register once.

Conference Registration.
Standard Registration $120 by March 18, 2019
$180 afterwards
Undergraduate Registration $50
Full registration includes the Friday evening banquet,
the Saturday lunch, admission to the sessions and
one copy of the proceedings.
(Student registration does not include the proceedings.)
