Submission deadline | April 15, 2021 |
Blockchain is a decentralized network and secures the transactions happening in the network. It records all the transactions and verifies them in a decentralized way and eliminates the need for a central authority. Blockchain will help the IoE in managing the identity of devices, securing the transactions of energy consumed data, payment for energy. Certificates for eco-green energy can be issued securely and resilient to forgery with the use of Blockchain. With IoE, wireless communication protocols need to be considered for transmission of data among peers. Use of Blockchain in energy sector hopes to increase the market for energy trading. Consumers can now find producers of energy locally and trade with them securely and efficiently. The economy will have a positive impact owing to the energy market being efficient with minimal loss that happens in long-distance transmission. The balance between supply and demand for energy is achievable with the use of Blockchain. Integrating Blockchain with IoE will make the network resistant to any failure in sub-components of the network.
The specific focus of this collection will be on the application of Blockchain technology in Energy grid and energy market. For particular call, we are seeking articles that focus on the intersection of Blockchain and Energy sector.
