AI-R2D2 2026: AI for Resilient, Responsible DeFi Dynamics
Workshop at IEEE ICBC 2026 (Brisbane, Australia) | June 5, 2026
Workshop website: https://ai-r2d2.github.io
Motivation
DeFi protocols have grown into complex, fast-moving socio-technical systems where automation increasingly determines outcomes: liquidations, cascading risk, MEV, oracle dynamics, and protocol governance. At the same time, foundation models and agentic AI systems are reshaping how users and institutions reason about on-chain decisions. AI-R2D2 brings together researchers and practitioners to advance AI methods that improve DeFi resilience and responsibility, while enabling robust decision support and automation under adversarial and uncertain conditions.
Workshop Scope
We welcome original submissions spanning theory, systems, measurements, and applications at the intersection of AI/ML and DeFi. Topics include (but are not limited to):
- Agentic AI for DeFi
- Risk, Safety, and Resilience
- On-chain Data, Modeling, and Analytics
- Market Microstructure, MEV, and Strategic Behavior
- Privacy, Security, and Compliance
- Evaluation, Benchmarks, and Reproducibility
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions should be anonymous prepared using the ICBC/IEEE workshop paper formatting guidelines (please see the workshop website for the most up-to-date instructions and submission link).
- Paper length: 4-8 pages
Important Dates
- Paper submission deadline: March 25, 2026
