Submission Guidelines and Important Dates
Papers
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Authors may submit proposals in three categories:
- Complete-manuscript peer-reviewed convention papers
- Eligible for Best Peer-Reviewed Paper Award and Student Paper Award
- Submission via the submission system for convention papers
- A completed 4-10 page manuscript submitted by February 15, 2022
- Once accepted, the complete camera-ready paper must be submitted by April 15, 2022
- Abstract-precis-reviewed convention papers
- Eligible for Student Paper Award
- Submission via the submission system for convention papers
- Title, abstract (60 to 120 words), and précis (500 to 750 words) submitted by February 15, 2022
- Once accepted, the complete camera-ready paper must be submitted by April 15, 2022
- Abstract-precis-reviewed Engineering Briefs
- About Engineering Briefs
- Submission via the submission system for engineering briefs
- Submission consists of title, abstract (60 to 120 words), and précis (500 to 750 words) submitted by March 1, 2022
- Once accepted, it is optional to submit a complete paper (1-5 pages) by April 15, 2022
Acceptance of papers will be determined by the committee based on peer reviews and decision will be provided by March 15, 2022.
All accepted papers will be published online in the AES E-Library
Tutorials & Workshops
Tutorials and workshops will complement the convention paper sessions by providing panel discussions, presentations and lectures led by experts in the field. These events will provide in-depth yet practical discussions while demonstrating the application of science in real-world scenarios.
Tutorial and workshop proposals include: title, abstract (60 to 120 words), and précis (500 to 750 words). The précis should include the number and names of presenters involved, format of the presentation (single presenter, panel, round-table, etc.), duration of the presentation, what attendees may need to bring (laptop, headphones, etc.), a list of topics to be covered, and a set of learning objectives. AES Technical Committees related to the proposed topic can provide additional guidance and support.
