Announcement and Call for Papers
Dear colleague,
It is a pleasure to invite you to AeroBest 2021, an ECCOMAS conference that will be held on July 21-23, 2021, using an online format, organized by IDMEC, at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal.
This new ECCOMAS Thematic Conference focuses on the multidisciplinary design optimization of aerospace systems, both aircraft and spacecraft, manned and unmanned. It aims to bridge the gap between conferences in the Aerospace field and in Operations Research, and offer a focused discussion on optimization applied to Aerospace.
The topics of interest include:
- Aerospace Design and Integrated Systems
- Systems Engineering and Integration
- Discipline Analysis Models
- Multi-Disciplinary Optimization
- Design Optimization
This 3-day online conference includes prominent keynote speakers in the field of Multidisciplinary Design Optimization of Aerospace Systems, namely: Dr. Jacques Periaux (CIMNE/UPC Barcelona, Spain), Prof. Joaquim R.R.A. Martins (University of Michigan, USA) and Prof. Afzal Suleman (University of Victoria, Canada).

Notification of acceptance: April 30

The scientific materials presented will be made available in two formats: as ECCOMAS conference proceedings with ISBN and, for enhanced versions of selected papers, as a Special Issue of the journal Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (SAMO).
