The ADBIS - TPDL - EDA 2020 Doctoral Consortium (DC) is a forum where PhD students can present their research ideas, confront them with the scientific community, receive feedback from mentors and tie cooperation bounds. PhD students will receive inspiration from their peers and will have a chance to discuss their research objectives with senior members of the community in the context of an established international conference.
The DC session will take place on August 25, 2020. Each participant will present her/his work, followed by a discussion with senior researchers.
==== Important Dates ===
-

=== Eligibility ===
We seek submissions of the PhD students who have either determined the direction of their thesis research (probably with some preliminary results already published), but who still have substantial work to complete, or PhD students who are in the early stages of their dissertations.
=== Submission Guidelines===
The paper should describe the state of the whole PhD project, rather than a specific completed result. The paper should outline the objectives, the problem, state of the art, results obtained so far, and what is still to be done in the frame of the PhD project. You must be the first author of the paper.
Your submission can have at most 6 pages, must be written in English, and must be formatted according to the Springer proceedings style.
Please submit your contribution electronically in PDF format via the Easychair system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=adbisedatpdldc2020
When submitting, you must explicitly state whether your document should be considered for publication in the DC proceedings. Please check the box “to be considered for publication in the DC proceedings”.
A paper submitted to the DC may not be under review for any other conference or journal during the time it is being considered for the DC.
Your submission will be evaluated by the DC committee. By the acceptance date, you will be notified if your submission has been selected for publication in the proceedings or for an oral presentation only.
=== Proceedings ===
The DC papers selected for publication in the proceedings will be published together with the workshop’s proceedings of the conference, by Springer in the Communications in Computer and Information Science series.
Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers.
