The Water Security and Climate Change (WSCC) series ofconferences have been held on an annual basis since 2016. The first edition of the conference was organized in Bangkok (2016), and subsequently in Cologne (2017), Nairobi (2018), San LuisPotosí (2019), and Hanoi (2021). The overarching objective of these conferences is to proliferate the exchange of knowledge and practical know-how on the intrinsic relationship between water security and climate change, with a view to advance fundamental and action research in this domain that will help human kind address one of the greatest challenges of our times. This year's key focus area is 'Adaptation for Sustainable and Resilient Development'.

This year, the WSCC will be held from 01–03 December 2022 in Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will be organized in a hybrid format, with a selected number of participants invited to Bangkok to present their work in person, while some sessions will be organized online for a wider audience.

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts must not exceed 2500 characters (including spaces).The characteristics of a good abstract are:

• It directly aligns with one or more themes of the conference.
• It focuses more on results/findings/inferences of a study.
• It is based on existing work and not proposed work.
• It would be interesting to a diverse group of experts, practitioners,and policy makers

Make sure that one of the themes is close to the subject matter of your submission:

• Transitioning from sectoral to nexus thinking
• Robustifying climate change adaptation strategies
• Translating knowledge into action
