Submission deadline | July 12, 2020 |
In the advent of autonomous driving the industry longs for appropriately educated employees in a wider range of fields than ever before. To meet the need of the industry academic teachers and members of the industry have to communicate to each other. This workshop should provide a chance to for both sides to meet, exchange requirements and experiences and work out an example lecture according to industrial requirements and academical feasibility. To our knowledge there has not been anyautomotive software engineering workshop focusing on the collaboration between academics and industry in facing adequate education.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal, conference or workshop. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Position papers describing experiences, novel approaches and challenges in the field of academic automotive software engineering education (up to four pages, including literature and appendix).
List of Topics
- Automotive software engineering education mapped to industrial requirements
- Collaborations with industry in lectures, e.g., integration of presentations by members of the automotive industry into the lecture
- Didactics in automotive software engineering, including simulations or programming of a model car
- Methods for teaching of technical basics, including CAN, Flexray, embedded systems
- Methods for teaching of modelling, including AUTOSAR and EAST-ADL
- Methods for teaching of machine learning with use cases in a car, including object detection, object tracking, movement prediction (of pedestrians, etc.), decision making, etc.
