VisCHI (2nd International Conference of Visualization and Computer Human Interaction) 2022 will be an international conference organized by the ICT Division at the College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar Foundation, Doha, Qatar.
The aim of VisCHI is to bridge the fields of Visualization and Computer Human Interaction by disseminating research activities and novel ideas on both theoretical and application-oriented aspects, and by bringing together researchers and practitioners from universities, government, and industry to exchange recent findings on the design and use of visualization and computer human interaction technologies.
The ultimate goal is to establish and enforce novel connections between visualization and computer human interaction practitioners, to stimulate discussion on potential overlaps and cross-contamination between the two fields, to foster collaborations, and to attract more researchers in Qatar and Middle East to enter these rapidly growing areas of research.

Submission Guidelines
With this call for papers, we invite two kinds of contributions:
- Sketch submission: an extended abstract or short paper no longer than 4 pages including references. Sketches focus on novel ideas, late-breaking results, work in progress, follow-up extensions or evaluations of existing methods, as well as position statements and surveys about recent and trendy technologies. The purpose of sketches is to present your work to a broader audience and discuss with researchers in similar fields.
- Poster submission: a one-page abstract together with an A0 poster describing work in progress, follow-up extensions, application case studies, or evaluations of existing methods. The goal is to provide young researchers, especially postgraduate students, the valuable opportunity of gathering feedback from other researchers and engage in stimulating discussions.
The contributions will be peer-reviewed by an international committee.
Authors may choose whether to anonymize their submission or not - reviewers’ identities are never revealed.
At least one author of an accepted contribution must register and attend the conference to present the work.
A selection of accepted sketch papers and eventually poster submissions will be invited to submit an extended version to be published as a book chapter.
- Submission format: A4 pdf, English language, Times New Roman 12pt, single column, single line spacing, margins of 1in.
List of Topics
We encourage submissions from all areas of visualization and computer human interaction.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
