Objectives
Educational Environments that are based on virtual reality (VR) technologies, called Virtual Reality-based Educational Systems (VRES) have opened up new horizons in education and have the potential to offer innovative and efficient learning activities and training procedures. They are gradually becoming an important part of the educational technology landscape and enable learning and teaching experiences that were not previously available. This workshop aims to (a) present and discuss the objectives and results of the Biz4Fun Erasmus+ KA2 project (b) provide an opportunity for attracting high quality research and development articles on use of virtual reality technologies in education. The participants of the workshop are expected to increase their knowledge and understanding of the ways that virtual reality technologies can enhance education, both theoretically and practically. The Workshop is organized in the context of the Erasmus+ KA2 Biz4Fun project and is intended to become a forum for exchanging experiences and ideas among researchers and practitioners who are dealing with use of virtual reality in education. It will comprise the following types of sessions:
- Biz4Fun sessions (project aims and results presentation as well as "hands on" experinece)
- Technical sessions (VRES research and development papers presentation)
Secondary vocational education and training teachers as well as stakeholders from VET-HEI and organizations of the entrepreneurship sector are invited to attend the Biz4Fun sessions. Attendance certificates will be given by the project consortium.Researchers and practitioners in the field of VRES are invited to attend Biz4Fun sessions and submit papers for the technical sessions.
