The smart city paradigm entirely depends on data. Enormous challenges come in the data collection, analysis, and distribution. In the context of video data, cameras capture the data in huge amounts, and these Video recordings are effectively used in various smart city applications such as surveillance systems to counter potential threats. The video analytics field is composed of continuous evolution, because of speedy enabling hardware and software progress that is making the technology more reachable and valued. This book is aiming to explore the various applications and use cases of Video Data Analytics for Smart City Applications. To transform a large amount of video into actionable intelligence as complementary mechanisms, an effective algorithm and model are required.
