The 15th International Conference on Ubi-Media Computing (Ubi-Media 2027) will be held in Okinawa, Japan, in January 2027. Since its inception in 2008, the Ubi-Media conference series has provided an international forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to exchange ideas, present research results, and discuss emerging developments in ubiquitous computing and intelligent media. Over the years, Ubi-Media has been successfully held in China, Taiwan, Brazil, Japan, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
Ubiquitous computing and intelligent media are rapidly evolving toward highly connected, context-aware, and AI-enabled environments in which people, devices, services, and digital content interact seamlessly across physical and virtual spaces. The proliferation of mobile and wearable devices, Internet of Things (IoT), edge and cloud computing, multimodal sensing, and artificial intelligence has fundamentally transformed the ways in which users access, generate, communicate, and interact with multimedia information.
Ubi-Media Computing brings together technologies for ubiquitous and intelligent computing, context-aware adaptation, multimodal human–computer interaction, inter-device collaboration, and multimedia/data communication. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), multimodal foundation models, intelligent agents, and edge AI, are further enabling new forms of adaptive and personalized services across distributed and heterogeneous environments.
The International Conference on Ubi-Media Computing and Workshops provides an international forum for researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals to present and discuss state-of-the-art research, emerging technologies, innovative applications, and future challenges in ubiquitous computing, intelligent media, and related areas. The conference particularly welcomes original contributions addressing intelligent devices and infrastructures, multimodal and human-centered interactions, adaptive multimedia and AI-enabled services, as well as innovative applications that bridge the physical and digital worlds.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome.
- It is recommended that Regular Papers are submitted for review with around 12 to 15 pages. Submissions with less than 12 pages will be considered as Short Papers. Authors should submit their papers in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, addressing one or several of the conference areas or topics. All papers must follow the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) template.
