In this age of emerging technologies AI, IoT, Blockchain, Big Data etc. has penetrated deep into everyday life. With the digitalization of businesses, education, Government initiatives, finance, Healthcare, hospitality etc., our reliance on these emerging technologies has grown in leaps and bounds. A proposed book about the transformation of Healthcare Industry with emerging technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Thing (IoT), Big Data and Blockchain. Integration of AI, IoT, Big Data and Blockchain have extensive power in the Healthcare Industry. AI is empowered with analyzing, classification and prediction ability. AI also facilitates the understanding of health-seeking behaviors and public emotions during epidemics. IoT makes the application connected, flexible and efficient.
Big data in healthcare states collect data from numerous sources including electronic health records (EHRs), Medical Imaging, genomic sequencing, diagnostic lab records, pharmaceutical research, wearables, and medical devices etc. Blockchain technology offers protected transactions, safe data storage, immutable data records, transparent data flow service, transaction validation process and secure data exchanges between organizations. A smart contract is one of the Blockchain features that can be used as a real agreement in the Healthcare industry. IoT enables the fast communication between doctors and patients by offering several healthcare applications like remote monitoring, smart sensors, and medical devices like ECG, pulse monitoring devices, and body wearable device integration to monitor patient data in real-time. The data are collected and analyzed by the AI technique. AI permits Healthcare professionals to disease diagnosis and prediction ability with a personalized care system. Foremost, companies in the healthcare industry are trying to integrate IoT, AI, Big Data and Blockchain to develop advanced precision medicines. Blockchain adoption in Healthcare Industry focuses on the health supply chain, drug supply chain management and claim management. All along the ownership of the data would belong to the individual or the patient.
