Welcome to the 3rd AFU International Conference: Towards Advanced Scientific Knowledge (TASK3-2019) in Business Sciences, which will be held on 1-2 May 2019 in Dubai, UAE.
TASK3-2019 is a multidisciplinary conference that covers interrelated topics which under the umbrella of Business Sciences. We live in the digital era where new emerging technologies and new media have made tremendous and transformative impacts in businesses, and at the same time they raised new social and legal issues, which call for interdisciplinary research collaboration and efforts in order to understand their impacts on business and society from broader and holistic perspectives. TASK3-2019 aims to provide a platform for researchers across the world to discuss and share ideas and findings about business challenges and new emerging phenomena from a broad perspective including Business, Media, Technology and Law. The conference emphasizes this perspective (interdisciplinary between business and other fields of knowledge) which also offers the opportunity for research collaboration on interrelated topics between scholars from different backgrounds and fields, and helps in providing innovative solutions for better business environment and society’s welfare.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original abstract/ full research papers (theoretical or/and empirical-based), case study, and position/viewpoint papers within the broad scope of the conference.
Papers must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers are subject to a double-blind review. All submissions will be peer reviewed and selected based on relevance, originality, significance, quality and clarity.
Submission Instructions:
- The full paper should have the standard structure: abstract, keywords, introduction (research objectives), literature review, research methods (if applicable), findings or expected results, and conclusions/contributions.
- Please remove the author details from the first paper submission.
- The paper should be formatted as follow:

- Paper size: A4-Normal Margin
- Times New Roman, 12 points
- Single-spaced
- 5-15 pages (maximum 6000 words) including tables, figures and references
- Use standard reference style

- Abstract only: it should be between 200-250 words. Please include the title, abstract and keywords in one page.
All papers and abstracts must be submitted in pdf format using Easychair submission system at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=task32019 If you do not have EasyChair account, you need to create new one in order to submit your paper/abstract.

- Prof. Jonathan D. Linton, University of Sheffield, UK (Confirmed)
Prof. Jonathan D. Linton is the Chair in Operations and Technology Management and Director of the Emerging Technology Supply Chain Management Research Centre at the University of Sheffield, Foreign Co-Head of the Science Technology Studies Laboratory of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, and Editor-in-Chief of Technovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science, Schulich School of Business, York University and is a registered professional engineer. Dr. Linton’s research focuses on emerging technologies supply chains. He is also well known for his activities in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy, and emerging technology and sustainable supply chains. In addition to publishing in high impact management journals and trade publications, his interdisciplinary research has been published widely in science and technology journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, Trends in Biotechnology, and Energy Risk. He is on the editorial boards of Foresight, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.

Abstracts Book: All abstracts accepted for presentation in this conference will be double- blind reviewed and will be published in the conference abstracts book in a softcopy (at AFU website) and in a hard copy.
Springer Conference proceedings: It is planned to publish relevant high quality papers in proceedings with Springer in their Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series (final approval pending). CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus. Only accepted papers written in English will be published by Springer CCIS. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to use Springer paper template and format in order to be published. After the conference, participants whose papers have been accepted will have free access to online conference proceedings in SpringerLink Digital Library for four weeks.
Best Paper Award
Best Paper Awards will be conferred at the conference (in order to qualify for the award, the paper must be presented at the conference). Three Best Papers will be selected based on the reviewers’ feedback and nomination. The Certificate for Best Paper will be awarded during the certificate distribution session of the conference. Authors of Best papers will be notified during the conference. The awardee will receive certificate and gift.

Registration Fees
At least one of the authors of the accepted paper must register for the conference. The registration fees are 220 USD.
Conference registration fees includes the conference attendance for two days (it will take place in 4 stars Hotel), conference kit, conference program brochure, certificate, 2 coffee breaks and 2 lunches, and publication of abstracts book and proceedings.
