Testing AI: Practices and Insights (TAIPI2023)
The evolution of AI has resulted in AI being used in increasingly more areas of human activity; indeed it is routinely used in everyday systems from GPS, screening medical images, creating innovative content to controlling complex systems like driverless vehicles. The last decade has seen significant advances in AI and wider application, driven by global competitive drives towards dominance in AI for both countries and corporations. However, one area lacking in activity is in ‘testing AI’. This is becoming a significant consideration with growing concerns on the trustworthiness, security and impact of AI based systems with politicians, governments, societies, businesses, and technology companies calling for a more robust, trusted, safe and transparent approach to AI development. AI testing is becoming a key issue with a need to share good practices and insights on how to suitably test AI systems ‘beyond just testing algorithms’. This book hopes to addresses these gaps and be a key reference covering best practices, issues, case studies, challenges and approaches to testing AI. We are looking for submisions that go beyond just testing the AI algorithms.
