Submission Guidelines
Submissions should be either in the form of papers, posters, panels, or workshops. Submissions can be in any state of preparation - from idea inception to complete. Work-in-progress projects are welcomed and encouraged!
- Presentation (10-12 minutes) – Present virtually in a 45-minute session, shared with 2 others. Each presentation will be approximately 10-12 minutes with 3-5 minutes for questions and transition between speakers. Work presented could include a Qualifying Project, a Masters' Thesis, a paper being prepared for publication, or dissertation findings.
- Poster (30 minute session)) – Present your work as a part of our 30-minute poster session. All presenters in this category should create a single slide that encapsulates their work and can be deposited in the SWAYWO poster repository. Poster presenters will then be expected to be present in their own virtual room during the poster session when attendees will be able to move around rooms to have one-on-one conversations. Work presented could include work done for a research project report, a final project from a course or any other work more suited to one-to-one conversations than a formal presentation.
- Demonstration (10-12 minutes) – Have you been working on projects that don’t fit into traditional research paradigms? Then this category is for you. For this session you have the option of submitting a short description, video or poster of your project for deposit in the SWAYWO materials repository where attendees and view your work outside of the session time. Demo presenters will present virtually in a 45-minute session, shared with 2 others. Each presentation will be approximately 10-12 minutes with 3-5 minutes for questions and transition between speakers. Work shared could include educational games or toys, class projects or any other work that lends itself to being demonstrated.
