About Book
Proliferation of technologies and rapid increase of Internet users are providing pervasive connectivity with ubiquitous environment across the globe. In today’s scenario, Smart sensor network present next evolutionary development and considered among the most significant technologies for the 21st century including wireless sensor technologies, Internet and IoT Architectures and user design. Due to this dynamic change, variety of devices and appliances will be connected through web and moving towards era of Internet of Things to form efficient smart sensor network for finding ways into every aspect of daily life. As an enabler, smart sensor networks play important role in establishment of network devices which can be easily interact with physical world through plethora of variety of sensors for collecting and monitoring the surrounding context and also allowing environment information. Moreover, Smart Sensor Networks present new kind of world where devices and appliances can be used to achieve herculean tasks that demands high degree of intelligence, interconnection, and network technologies. Actually, Smart Sensor Networks is considered as agglomeration of numerous technologies that perform task together in tandem. As compared to normal sensors, demand of smart sensors is increasing for monitoring and controlling of information in these networks. But due to explosive growth of internet devices, connected with variety of sensors, smart sensor network requires proper management of data in a continuously expanding network and enlighten attention to serious concern of data collection efficiency, data sharing to intended users, data analytics, privacy and security. Apart from military applications, smart sensor networks are used in many civilian applications nowadays. In these applications, data come from multiple networks of interconnected sensors with different locations. Thus, there is need to manage high volume of demands in related applications as significant progress as giant feedback to smart sensor networks in these heterogenous environment.
The objective of this book “Smart Sensor Networks: Analytics, Sharing and Control” is to present a valuable insight on the original research and review articles on the latest achievements that will contribute to the field of smart sensor networks and their usage in related domain. This book will cover network techniques, design and principles of smart sensor networks, survey of technologies employed to smart sensor networks, data collection, data monitoring, control and management and also research allied challenges of related interesting real life applications like smart city, smart home, e healthcare, smart banking and smart social sensing networks etc.
This book is primarily targeted at postgraduate students, researchers, academicians, and all those interested to explore advances in computing and its next generation applications. This book will be helpful to IT practitioners and executives. This book will focus on multifaceted development of new next evolutionary development and their implications and outline direction for further research.
