Signal Processing meets Industry 4.0
Dear colleagues,
we are pleased to announce the special session of Digital Signal Processing 2017 conference!
A new industrial revolution has been announced in the last years, with the common focus of implementing the "Smart factory". Smart Networking, Smart Automation and Smart Quality are three keywords that basically define new paradigms in industrial development.
Intelligent factories are based on intelligent manufacturing processes that rely on Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs). These systems are governed by smart algorithms and are able to interact and exchange data with other CPSs, adapting themselves to changing scenarios.
In this dynamic context Digital Signal Processing becomes a crucial and mandatory step and represents the starting point for a wide number of applications, that include non destructive tests, smart image/video processing or human machine interfaces. Particular attention needs also to be paid to networking strategies, IoT devices integration as well as smart communications and control.
The main purpose of this special session is to mix up different expertises with particular emphasis on Industry 4.0 related issues, to promote an useful discussion panel where researchers and engineers coming from both academia and industry can exchange ideas and suggestions.
Paper Submission Guidelines
Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers in English, with a maximum paper length of five (5) printed pages (10-point font) including figures. Papers exceeding 5 pages will not be accepted.
