The 6th Strathmore International Mathematics Conference (SIMC 2023) is a biennial conference aimed at building capacity for research in Mathematics and its Applications. The conference will be organized in plenary and parallel sessions of oral and virtual presentations. The Conference paper presentation sessions will be preceded by 2-day schools (July 10 and 11) on broad research topics of contemporary interest and relevance. 

The conference theme is:

"Promoting research collaboration in mathematical sciences to address emerging challenges in health, agriculture, climate change and big data."

The conference will be organized around the following thematic areas: 

1. Health

2. Agriculture

3. Climate change/Environmetrics

4. Big data

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Authors may contribute to the conference by submitting articles that exhibit research that is applicable/or is potentially applicable to the four thematic areas: health, agriculture, climate change/environmetrics, and big data.

Areas of interest for submission include but are not limited to: Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematical Statistics; Agricultural Statistics; Actuarial Science; Applied Information Economics; Astrostatistics; Chemometrics; Data Mining; Machine Learning; Artificial Intelligence; Algebra; Geometry; Topology; Discrete Mathematics; Biomathematics; Mathematical Finance; Computational Mathematics; Control Theory; Cryptography; Fluid Dynamics; Game Theory; Information Fusion; Mathematics Education

The deadline for abstract submission is 31st January 2023

Full paper submission

1. Full papers should be submitted by 31st March 2023.

2. Papers that successfully go through the refereeing process will be published as part of the conference proceedings.

Oral Presentation Guidelines

1. Presentation Time: 15 minutes Oral sessions: 10-12 minutes for presentation and 3-5 minutes for discussion.

2. The meeting room will be equipped with projector, screen, and laser pointer. You will be required to provide your presentation on a USB at least 2 hours before your talk is due. More detailed information on submitting your final presentation slides will be provided later
