SHEMET 2025: The 21st International Conference on Sheet Metal Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel Paderborn, Germany, April 1-3, 2025

The SHEMET conference is one of the most important international conferences in the field of sheet metal forming and joining technology. It brings together prominent experts in sheet metal forming, joining and related material characterisation as well as numerical methods and is an excellent forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of technologies related to sheet metal forming processes.

Submission Guidelines

Each presentation within SheMet 2025 must be presented by a paper within the proceedings of the conference.

Therefore, full paper peer reviews are mandatory for all contributions that are to be accepted and published within the proceedings. With respect to this requirement, the schedule, which has yet to be announced, has to be kept very strictly. There will be no extension of deadlines for paper submission. All times are Central European Time (CET, Berlin).

• All papers have to be formatted according to the provided Template.
• Every paper has to be written in excellent English.
• All papers must be written and after acceptance provided in MS Word.
• Every paper has a length of either 6 or 8 pages using the template formatting.
• All papers will have to include three keywords. The first two of these will have to be chosen from the CIRP Unified Keyword List.

The proceedings of SheMet 2025 will be published as an issue of Materials Research Proceedings published by MaterialsResearchForum LLC. The papers will be published OPEN ACCESS

The journal has the following ISSN: 2474-3941 (print), ISSN 2474-395X (online). It is currently indexed by CPCI, Scopus, Google Scholar, Inspec database, CAS and others. Your publication will thus be very visible and easy to share.

Venue

The conference will be held in Paderborn, Germany. The sessions will take place at the Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel near the „Paderborner Dom“, right in the centre of Paderborn City. The conference venue can be easily reached by foot from Paderborn Central Station within 10 minutes.
