SCESCM is a biennial international conference focusing on sustainability concept implemented in design, construction and maintenance in any civil engineering structure. The conference is conducted on a rotational basis, every two years since 2012 and is increasingly enriched by outstanding keynotes, invited papers and selected participant’s papers sharing the latest scientific findings and achievements among civil engineers across the globe.

The theme for the 5^th SCESCM which will be held on 8 - 9 December 2020 “Transforming the World, Foster the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” expresses the comprehensive range of issues and development in the area of civil and infrastructure. The conference is aimed at providing fresh perspectives on the latest developments in design, construction and maintenance in any civil engineering structure and infrastructure facilities towards sustainability.

Submission Guidelines

Technical papers, technical features of case studies, novel and innovative ideas, advanced technologies or related themes under (but not limited to) the proposed topics/areas are invited to be presented in the conference. Abstracts should reach the Secretariat before 15 September 2019. It shall be in English of about 200-300 words, listing keywords. Please click Register below to fill in the registration form. Publication

Prospective authors are invited to submit their manuscripts electronically (MS Word format only). The word count should be between 4000 to 8000 words. Papers with LESS than 4000 words including all figures, references and abstract will NOT BE EVALUATED. The deadline for full paper submission is by 31^st July 2020. Papers submitted to the conference will follow double-blind peer‐review procedures. The International Committee will make the selection of papers.

All full paper submissions will be evaluated based on originality, technical merit and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Your manuscript will be strictly checked for plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Only original, unpublished contributions will be considered.

All papers from the conference will be published by Springer: Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering as a proceedings book volume indexed by SCOPUS. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published.

Please write your text in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of them).

Accepted paper will be included in the proceedings, only when presented by at least one registered author. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the work.
