1st Open Access Journal "Smart City Berlin (SCB2022)"
The aim of the journal "Smart City Berlin (SCB)" is to discuss and publish information on the current state of research and application on the topic of "Suistainable Smart Cities", focusing on the improvement of our cities and contributing to the improvement of our society. We invite you to publish your latest findings in this journal "Smart City Berlin".
Aims
The aim of the journal "Smart City Berlin" is to bring together academics and researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of "Smart Sustainable Cities", and in particular to report on the most advanced applications and the latest development trends in the field of "Suistainable Smart Cities". Another important goal of this interdisciplinary journal is to bring together experts from research, industry and education to exchange ideas and proposals to solve urgent problems and needs. The journal therefore provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to publish, present, and discuss the latest innovations, trends, and issues as well as practical challenges and solutions in the field of smart sustainable cities. It enables the exchange of experiences and best practices and provides a space for the discussion of problems, new ideas, concepts and research questions in the field of "Suistainable Smart Cities".
Topics
Urban development is characterized by the interconnection of different topics: Urban mobility, energy production and supply, construction activity, development and maintenance of places to work, shop, recreate and live cannot be considered independently, but require an inter- and transdisciplinary approach. In practice and research, the role of digitization and new information and communication technologies in urban space is increasingly being discussed under the heading of "Sustainable Smart City". This encompasses various concepts and ideas that deal with the connections between technical and social innovations and current urban challenges. In this context, the connection of different spatial levels is also important: Smart Buildings, Smart Neighborhoods and Smart Cities are by no means discrete concepts, but condition and influence each other. In order to be able to identify and follow new paths for smart and sustainable solutions, systems and social practices of the Sustainable Smart City of the future are often tested in a real laboratory (in the sense of a field trial), made tangible and discussed in dialogue with a wide range of actors from science, business, politics, administration and society.Potential authors are cordially invited to contribute to and help shape the journal. We call for contributions that deal with the above-mentioned topics of the journal. Contributions may describe results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in any area of Smart Suistainable Cities. Topics not explicitly listed but related are also acceptable, provided they fit within the scope of "Suistainable Smart Cities" (see above). Please contact the organizers if you are not sure if your work topic is interesting for this workshop!
