8th International Conference on Ambient Intelligence
Workshop : Security in Ambient Intelligent Environments (SAmIE)
http://isami-conference.net/workshops/samie
SCOPE
Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is a recent paradigm emerging from Artificial Intelligence (AI), where computers are used as proactive tools assisting people with their day-to-day activities, making everyone’s life more comfortable.
The inclusion of computational power and communication technologies in everyday objects is growing and their embedding into our environments is rapidly becoming a reality. While on one hand, such embedding should be easy and comfortable for its users, it must also consider both the security and privacy aspects of those same users, their networks and equipment’s. Smart environments are composed of sensors and actuators that react to the human presence by continuously monitoring its behavior, which, in turn, translates to copious amounts of data being stored and analyzed somewhere on the cloud. To be successful in the creation of secure ambient intelligent environments, a multitude of aspects must be taken in consideration at design, setup and use phases. Security in Ambient Intelligent Environments (SAmIE) workshop aims to bring together researchers from various disciplines that constitute the scientific field of security, for ambient intelligent environments, to present and discuss the latest results, new ideas, projects and lessons learned. Brand new ideas will be greatly appreciated as well as relevant revisions and actualizations of previously presented work, project summaries and PhD thesis.
TOPICS
To fulfill these objectives, submissions of substantial, original and previously unpublished work are invited in all areas related to the digital security for Ambient Intelligent Environments (AmIE). The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Access control mechanisms for AmIE
- AmIE security management
- Colluding attacks over multiple AmIE
- Distributed denial of service in AmIE
- Information sharing and data protection in AmIE
- Intrusion detection in AmIE
- Privacy policy framework for AmIE
- Secure applications diployed in AmIE
- Secure big data in AmIE
- Security architectures for AmIE
- Security protocols for AmIE computing
- Trust computing for AmIE cloud services
- Digital forensics for AmIE
