Attacks in cyberspace continue to evolve every year along with the growth of network communications and the internet. Sophistication associated with advancement in network communications has made us more vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Lloyd's of London said in a report, "a major global cyber attack could trigger an average of $53 billion of economic losses" Global financial and economic losses from the recent"WannaCry" attack that crippled computers in at least 150 countries could swell into the billions of dollars, making it one of the most damaging incidents involving so-called ransomware. Juniper research recently predicted that the rapid digitization of consumers' lives and enterprise records will increase the cost of data breaches to $2.1 trillion globally by 2019, Therefore, it becomes extremely important for technocrats and cyber-security researchers to share knowledge, so that more research can be carried out towards the goal of a secured cyberspace.
This symposium will focus on sharing of knowledge on the Advances in Network Communication and Cyber- security Research and provide guidelines to initiate research on different problems associated İo cyber-security. The symposium will also provide opportunity for interactions with invited researchers and experts in Cyber-security and help the participants develop basic skills necessary for Cyber-security Research.
