The IIIT Delhi Research Showcase is an annual event to exhibit the prominent research and development work being carried out at IIIT-D and other premier institutions in Delhi NCR. The research showcase is aimed for industry professionals and academic fraternity so that they can discover research and development work at IIIT-D as well as other institutions identify potential areas of collaboration. It brings the most knowledgeable researchers from both academia for example the IITs as well as industry for example Microsoft, Google, IBM, TCS, and the likes, to serve as jury and speakers in the event. Last year's Research Showcase had approximately 500 attendees from schools and institutions in Delhi NCR.
The following poster/demo categories are welcome:
- Posters
Any peer-reviewed published work can be submitted as a poster at Research Showcase 2017. We encourage high quality submissions in the fields of Computer Science Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Computational Biology/ Applied Maths. The work will be judged by top researchers from industry as well as academia. You need to submit an abstract (250 words) of the accepted paper including title, authors’ name and affiliations, and publication details: venue name, year and link to the paper. Awards will be presented to the Best Technical Poster and the Most Innovative Idea.
- Doctoral Symposium
This track is aimed at senior doctoral students who have completed 3 years towards their PhD. Students are invited to submit an extended abstract in two page IEEE double column format. Abstract must clearly convey the idea and contributions of their doctoral research work. This can incorporate work in progress. Accepted submissions will be presented as posters during the poster session. The poster presentations will also give the students a platform to interact with their peers and experienced jury members, and receive valuable feedback.
- Innovation Challenge
The Innovation Challenge is an opportunity to showcase your research and development efforts to the world. First, a team advertises its work on stage in a timed round [2 mins] in front of a jury and an audience, followed by a demo session [1.5 hours]. The idea that receives the maximum number of user votes wins the user choice award in demo category. Another award will be given for the best demo in terms of research contribution category.

- Posters
- Tick "Poster: Research" on easy chair submission link under ‘Topics’. Please make sure to select only one topic on submission page
- You can only submit published work
- Your submission should include - Title, Abstract 250 words, Date and Venue of publication
- Date and Venue of publication should be mentioned below abstract
- Last date for submission: March 12th, 2017
- If selected: you would need to upload a poster of size 36x48 inches
- Doctoral Symposium
- Tick "Poster: Doctoral Symposium" on easy chair submission link under ‘Topics’. Please make sure to select only one topic on submission page
- You can also submit unpublished work, but should be comprehensive piece of work
- Your submission should include - Title, Extended abstract with reference to previously published/submitted papers, Date and Venue of publications (if published)
- Date and Venue of publication should be mentioned below abstract
- Page limit: Two page as per IEEE double column format
- Last date for submission: March 12th, 2017
- If selected: you would need to upload a poster of size 36x48 inches
- Innovation Challenge
- This event follows a two phase selection procedure. First abstracts (250 words) are invited for a project with working demo. If selected, the participant is required to upload a 2 minute video in the second phase.
