Designing Digital Economies - Pathways for Emerging Market Development
The Business School at RMIT Vietnam is pleased to announce the upcoming RMIT Vietnam Digital3 (D3) Conference with the theme of ‘Designing Digital Economies - Pathways for Emerging Markets Development’. The D3 Conference provides a platform for academics to present new insights and discuss emergent issues on the disruption induced by digital technologies on the economy thus fostering greater links between the academy and industry. As one of its key foci, the conference sets out to disentangle the impact of these new digital technologies and their disruption on the transformation of emerging economies – more specifically, how adopting such technologies can present gateways for emerging economies to quantum-leap economic development stages with progression directly into the digital economy. Emerging markets can leverage the new institutional infrastructure provided by frontier digital technologies to build sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous economies. In an era characterized by the swift and sweeping disruptions brought about by digital technologies, the role of industry-focused academic research becomes increasingly critical. Consequently, rigorous academic research, with its ability to analyze, forecast, and provide actionable insights, is instrumental in navigating the dynamic digital landscape, ensuring businesses are equipped to capitalize on these advancements and thrive in the digital economy.
We warmly invite contributions from all disciplines that delve into the implications and applications of disruptive technologies in the context of the digital economy and business. This includes, but is not limited to, research on blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR), and the Internet of Things (IoT).
