Persuasive Technology (PT) is a vibrant interdisciplinary research field focusing on the design, development, and evaluation of interactive technologies. Persuasive Technology aims at changing people’s attitudes or behaviours through persuasion and social influence, but with strong considerations regarding transparency and ethics. The Persuasive Technology conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from industry and academia who are working in the field of behaviour design and persuasive technologies. As a community, we aim at enriching people’s lives in various domains – e.g., health, safety, and the environment – by supporting their personal goals to change their behaviour.

Venue
Persuasive 2020 is organized by Aalborg University, Denmark.
The pre-conference activities are expected to include workshops, tutorials, a design competition for Master students, and Doctoral Consortium.
These activities will be hosted by the AAU Create Building in the centre of Aalborg, situated directly on the Limfjord harbour front. The Create Building is home of multiple educational programs, such as Art and Technology, Communication and Digital Media, Information Architecture and Information Studies. With its established multi-disciplinary purpose, the Create building will provide a variety of facilities of both traditional and more creative nature.
The main conference will be hosted by the Comwell White House Hotel in Aalborg. The Hotel is in walking distance of the city centre and with easy access to public transport and the airport. The hotel is surrounded by the Kilde park, thereby providing visitors with a peaceful and green contrast to the more hectic city centre. By hosting the conference at the hotel, we aim to ensure that the main conference not only provides the participants with new insights into the persuasive technology field but also an opportunity to network with fellow researchers.
