The Sixth International Workshop on Privacy and Security in HealthCare 2019 (PSCare19) is an international forum dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practical implementation of Privacy and Security in HealthCare. PSCare19 intends to provide the state-of-the-art technologies in the broad areas of privacy and security techniques in healthcare to industry, researchers, physicians, engineers, and students. PSCare19 will be held in Coimbra, Portugal (4-7 November 2019) in conjunction with the 9th International Conference on Current and Future Trends of Information and Communication Technologies in Healthcare (ICTH-2019).

The inability to properly secure the healthcare systems, hospitals, protecting patients against emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and sustaining privacy and trust has been a key focus of research. The PSCare aims to provide a highly professional and comparative academic research forum that promotes collaborative excellence between academia and industry. PSCare19 is designed to help e-Health industry, privacy and security professionals to protect the privacy rights of patients and applying best practices to information privacy management. Moreover, PSCare19 aims to develop and implement secure and privacy preserving e-Health systems by ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal health information and life-critical information systems.

All PSCare2019 accepted papers will be published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series on-line. Procedia Computer Science is hosted by Elsevier on www.Elsevier.com and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com), and will be freely available worldwide. All papers in Procedia will be indexed by Scopus (www.scopus.com) and by Thomson Reuters' Conference Proceeding Citation Index (http://thomsonreuters.com/conference-proceedings-citation-index/).
