The conference is the final event of the ITN Marie Skłodowska-Curie network POEMA (http://poema-network.eu/), dedicated to algebraic and geometric methods combined with computer algebra techniques for global non-linear optimization problems, over discrete or continuous domains and their applications in control engineering, physics, information processing, economy, biology ...
The conference is open to every scientist outside or inside the network. It aims for the dissemination of results on polynomial optimization. The publication of a book on subjects related to POEMA is planned after the conference.
POEMA 2022 will be held on 5-9 September 2022 at Sorbonne University, Paris,France.
Important dates
- Extended Abstract submission: June 30, 2022
- Notification of acceptance/rejection: July 30, 2022
- Conference: September 5-9, 2022
- Camera-ready chapter: November 30, 2022
Submission Guidelines
POEMA invites the submission of extended abstracts of 4 pages or less, describing the project of a chapter for the book to be published after the conference.
Submissions of abstracts for presentations at the conference are also solicited.
The chapters should provide an overview of a subject related to polynomial optimization in a broad sense, should be accessible to a large enough audienceand didactic for students who want to dive into the subject.
The chapters should not duplicate work published elsewhere, but can exploit existing material and present it in its context or in a new perspective.
The extended abstract should give a brief description of the content of the chapter and highlight the didactic view on the subject.
Extended Abstracts must be in English and should not exceed 4 pages in one column article format. Chapters are expected to be of 10 to 20 pages. Abstracts only for presentation at the conference could be of 1 page and should indicate below their title: ''For conference presentation only''. The authors of abstracts selected for presentation will be invited to give a talk at the conference.
Submission is via EasyChair, at the web site https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=poema22
