Synopsis:

The year 2026 marks the 1^st installation of the Pan African Computing Conference (PACC 2026) as an African computing scientists developmental and collaborative driven research, development and innovation (RDI) platform. The Conferences aims to communicate and publish research, development and innovation (RDI) outputs packaged as research and innovation papers, case study papers, and impact study papers focusing how the field of computing is used for the betterment of Africa.

PACC 2026 is scheduled to be co-hosted together with the International Multidisciplinary Information Technology and Engineering Conference (IMITEC 2026) by the Unit for Data Science and Computing, School of Computer Science and Information Systems, Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (FNAS), North-West University (NWU) in partnership with the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FoICT), Tshwane University of Technology (TUT); the South African Research Chair Initiative (SARChI) in Community Antimicrobial Resistance (CAR) and the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) and the University of Venda (UNIVEN) Unit on Antimicrobial Resistance and Global Health Research, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Agriculture (FoSEA), UNIVEN. The endorsement of IMITEC2026 BY Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) covers PACC2026 papers.

• Prof. Josef Gochermann
  • Prof Gochermann combines the worlds of technology and the market. He teaches Marketing and Technology Management at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He is also lecturing at Ruhr University Bochum and is an Extraordinary Professor at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. He has many years of experience as managing director of technology organisations and SMEs.
• Prof Okuthe Paul Kogeda
  • Prof Kogeda is the Internet of Things, 5G/6G networks management, and data science Professor based at the School of Agriculture and Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. His academic and research roles spans from being a curriculum designer to supervisor of postgraduate students and post-doctoral fellows. He one of the aspiring and knowledgeable African computing scientists.

• African intelligent and smart cities, businesses, governments and societal systems.
  • (digital technology, green energy, data-driven infrastructure, smart infrastructure, smart mobility, real-time transit, e-schools, e-governments, etc.)
  • (Data Science for infectious diseases and tropical diseases, GenAI for education and training, AI for–agriculture and farming, healthcare, transport, etc).

Review Process

• All papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure a high standard of quality and relevance, contributing to engaging and thought-provoking sessions.

Paper Template and Portal

• All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The IEEE Template should be used for this conference. IEEE Template
