About the Event
The 10th International Conference on Optics, Photonics and Lasers (OPAL’ 2027) aims to bring together leading researchers, engineers, technology developers, industry representatives, and emerging scientists to exchange knowledge and present advances that are shaping the next generation of light-based technologies. As optics and photonics increasingly underpin progress in communications, sensing, manufacturing and scientific instrumentation, the conference will provide an interdisciplinary forum for discussing both fundamental breakthroughs and their transition into reliable, efficient, and deployable technologies. Particular emphasis will be placed on research that responds to the growing requirements for higher performance, miniaturization, integration, scalability, sustainability, and intelligent operation.
For the first time, OPAL’ 2027 will be held under the same conference umbrella with the inaugural International Conference on Advances in Quantum Technologies and Information (AQTI’ 2027). This joint framework reflects the rapidly growing convergence between optics and photonics on the one hand and quantum science, engineering, and information technologies on the other. Photonic technologies play an increasingly important role in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and detection of quantum states, while advances in quantum science are creating new requirements and opportunities for optical devices, integrated platforms, sources, detectors, instrumentation, and information-processing systems. Bringing the two communities together is intended to promote cross-disciplinary exchange and facilitate new collaborations at the boundaries between established and emerging technological fields.
The scope of OPAL’ 2027 extends from fundamental scientific investigations to devices, integrated systems, instrumentation, engineering solutions, and industrial applications. The conference particularly encourages work that connects different levels of technological development and demonstrates how advances in materials, components, fabrication, modeling, measurement, and system design can be combined into increasingly sophisticated optical and photonic solutions.
The participants will have an opportunity to exchange ideas across disciplinary boundaries, establish new academic and industrial partnerships, and identify emerging directions where optics, photonics, lasers, quantum technologies, information science, and intelligent computation can mutually reinforce one another. The conference aims not only to present the latest scientific achievements but also to encourage forward-looking discussion of the technological challenges that must be addressed in the coming years.
The OPAL' 2027 is organized by the IFSA - professional, non-profit association serving for industry and academy since 1999: https://sensorsportal.com/
