About the Conference
The conference committee invites papers for the Annual Conference on Operations Management, Systems and Business Analytics. The conference provides a platform for academicians and practitioners to exchange knowledge and gain insights on the current technologies, techniques and solutions in Operations Management, Systems and Business Analytics. Papers are invited from academicians and practitioners on any topic mentioned in the list of conference topics and related areas. The conference will be held online and selected articles will be called for presentation on March 26 2021.
The overarching theme for the conference is the integration of operations management, Systems and analytics.
Keynote Speaker
Abraham Thomas is the co-founder and Chief Data Officer of Quandl, a technology company that empowers institutional investors to make better decisions through data. Abraham helped lead Quandl from its inception to its successful acquisition by Nasdaq (NDAQ) in 2018. He currently oversees all data-related operations for Quandl: data acquisition, data engineering, data science and research, and data delivery. Abraham was previously a senior portfolio manager and head of US investments at Simplex Asset Management, a multi-billion-dollar quantitative hedge fund with offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Princeton. He has a degree in Engineering Physics from IIT Bombay. Abraham lives in Toronto with his family. He writes at @athomasq and at www.abrahamthomas.info.
Submission Deadline
The OMSBA- 2021 invites abstract papers for conference presentations. The deadline for submitting abstract papers is 28 February 2021 and early submissions are encouraged.
Submission Guidelines
For the purpose of presentation, the authors need to submit only the extended abstract. Extended abstracts are papers that are a maximum of thousand words, and these will be reviewed by the conference leadership and technical track leads, rather than being peer-reviewed. In the extended abstract the author(s) should clearly mention the problem definition, academic/practical relevance, methodology, results, and managerial implications. The conference technical committee will accept/reject extended abstracts accordingly based on the quality of the submission. The author(s) also needs to submit a set of 4-6 keywords as well along with their abstract. The guidelines for submitting the extended abstract are as follows:
Maximum Page Length:
Extended abstract must not exceed 2 pages, including figures, tables, appendix, and references.
Document Must Include:
Title (250 Character Maximum), Author name and affiliation.
Author Name and Affiliation:
After the title, name of the author, author’s affiliation and institutional address with pin code and email id should be mentioned. In case there are two or more authors, then corresponding author's name and address details must be clearly specified.
