Call for Abstracts Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Research Conference 2021 April 7-9, 2021 | Virtual Conference we invite you to join the discussion about the role and value of open and collaborative approaches to generating and disseminating scientific research by submitting an abstract of 250-500 words on your empirical or conceptual work to one of the following conference tracks: Track 1: Open and collaborative approaches along the entire scientific research process and their effects. Possible topics include but are not limited to:
Track 2: Ecosystems and organizational designs facilitating open and collaborative research approaches. Possible topics include but are not limited to:

Researching OIS includes investigating whether, how, and under which conditions applying open and collaborative practices along one or more stages of the scientific research process influences novelty, efficiency and/or impact of scientific research, taking a balanced view that recognizes important contingency factors on the individual, organizational and ecosystem-level. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee and – given their fit – assigned a presentation slot at the conference. Information on abstract acceptance and conference registration will be provided by February 12, 2021.
Practicalities Participating in the OIS Research Conference is free. The conference officially starts on April 7 at 12:00 CET and ends on April 9 at 13:00 CET. Taking time zones into account, we expect participants to be present throughout the program. A preliminary conference program will be made available to participants upon abstract acceptance in February 2021. Next to the paper presentation sessions, the conference program includes keynotes, an OIS experimentation session, an OIS debate and opportunities for virtual socializing.
