Understanding Relations in European Societies and beyond.

For the 5th time, Centre for German and European Studies of St. Petersburg State University and Bielefeld University is pleased to announce Networks in the Global World (NetGloW), the largest regular conference on network analysis in Eastern Europe.
The goal of the NetGloW biannual conference series is to bring together networks researchers from around the globe, to unite the efforts of various scientific disciplines in response to the key challenges faced by network studies today, and to exchange diverse research results – thus enabling analysis of global social processes as well as theoretical and methodological advancements. The conference is open to discussions on various types of networks studied by social scientists - social, cultural, semantic, material, organizational, economical, political and other.
In 2020, the conference theme will revolve around understanding of network structures in their social contexts
Call for Full Papers
We invite the authors of abstracts selected for presentation at ‘Networks in the Global World’ 2020 conference to submit full papers by June 1, 2020. The papers will be peer-reviewed by conference participants (the invitation will follow), selected, and published in December 2020 as a ‘NetGloW 2020’ volume of Springer’s ‘Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems’ series indexed in Scopus.
Submission and format
Papers are to be submitted via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=netglow20.
Papers should not exceed 8000 words and must follow the Springer publication guidelines: ftp://ftp.springernature.com/cs-proceeding/svproc/guidelines/Springer_Guidelines_for_Authors_of_Proceedings.pdf.
Authors are requested to use the Springer MS Word template to format their papers: ftp://ftp.springernature.com/cs-proceeding/llncs/word/splnproc1703.zip.
Requirements and conditions
We expect to receive previously unpublished full papers that are not under review for another publication or conference. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. At least one of the authors has to register for the conference. Authors will be requested to transfer copyright to Springer. Contributing authors will receive an electronic copy of the volume free of charge.
Policies related to COVID-19
Papers by the authors who are unable to attend the conference because of COVID-19 travel restrictions will still be considered for publication in the conference proceedings volume. In case the whole conference is cancelled by the university/state, the volume will still be published by Springer.
Important dates
Submission of full papers deadline: Jun 1, 2020.
Selection of full papers and notification of authors: Jul 27, 2020.
Submission of camera-ready versions of revised manuscripts: Aug 24, 2020.
Tentative date of conference proceedings publication: Dec 2020.
