About NetBioMed2021
Networks 2021, a joint Sunbelt and NetSci Conference, will be an all-virtual event taking place from July 5-10, 2021. NetBioMed2021 is a satellite of Networks 2021. For details, please visit the NetBioMed2020 website at https://pancaldi.bsc.es/NetBioMed2021/#Home.
Leveraging the long-running tradition of two highly successful satellites, NetMed and NetSciReg, in 2020 we introduced NetBioMed as an integrated satellite dedicated to the importance of Network Science in Biology and Medicine. In 2021, NetBioMed will focus on the role of signal propagation, communication, and information flow in studying biological networks and understanding disease processes.
In biological systems, such as tissue networks, molecular networks, and epidemiological networks, the activity of one node impacts the subsequent state of its neighbors, triggering network cascades and leading to emergent behaviors. Both accurately modeling biological network interactions and understanding how the resulting network topology impacts system behavior, are challenging yet fundamental aspects of network science in biology and medicine.
This meeting will be targeted to network scientists whose research focuses on biomedical applications as well as biomedical scientists who are interested in learning about how network approaches can be used to study biological or disease systems at the molecular, cellular, or population level.
Submission Guidelines
Please submit your abstact for a contributed talk or poster presentation. Abstract submission deadline is May 28th. The best abstracts will be selected for oral presentation, and a few for poster presentation.
Note that we cannot accept oral presentations from invited speakers at the main Networks 2021 conference.
