Deadline extended to November 19th
The 2019 Neuro-Inspired Computing Elements (NICE) Workshop is the 7th annual meeting of researchers in the neural computing field. Like previous workshops, NICE 2019 will focus on the interplay between neural theory, neural algorithms, neuromorphic architectures and hardware, and applications for neural computing technology.
NICE aims to involve diverse participation from all over the world and bring together research communities with universities, government, and industry.
Submission Guidelines
As a workshop, we encourage submissions describing work that is not yet published. Preference will be given towards submissions describing ambitious approaches to bringing neural inspiration into real world computing applications.
For submissions, we ask for extended two page abstracts (not including references) that will be reviewed by the program committee. Papers should emphasize the novel aspects of the work and the potential impact on the neural computing community.
From this we will invite a number of short talks, lightning talks, and poster presentations. The preferred mode of presentation should be noted on the submission site.
For the first time, NICE is planning on publishing an online proceedings volume, details are below. Exceptional submissions will be invited to submit a full-length paper for review in the 2019 NICE proceedings. If interested in this option, please indicate so in your submission.
Details on 2018 NICE Workshop Conference Proceedings (updated 11/7/2018)
* Papers will be published and indexed through the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Conference Proceedings Series
* Papers will be invited from exceptional abstract submissions, selected by the program committee. We will ask for 6-8 page papers, though we can allow some flexibility if appropriate.
* Invited full-length papers will be peer reviewed for technical quality and clarity.
* Please see https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template for appropriate ACM Standard Proceedings templates (sigconf)
