Rationale
EduVerse represents an interconnected educational environment in which learners, educators, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, data, learning resources, emerging technologies, and institutions converge to create more connected, adaptive, and intelligent learning experiences. It reflects a shift from viewing eLearning simply as the delivery of digital content toward understanding education as an evolving ecosystem in which people, technologies, information, and institutional systems interact to support teaching, learning, assessment, research, professional development, and educational management.
This transformation is becoming increasingly significant as artificial intelligence, digital platforms, data, and emerging technologies become more deeply integrated into education. Rather than adopting technologies as isolated tools, educational institutions are increasingly challenged to connect and align these diverse capabilities with human expertise, pedagogical practices, organizational processes, and institutional goals. The value of technology therefore lies not simply in its adoption, but in how effectively it can be integrated and orchestrated to create meaningful and sustainable educational outcomes.
It is within this context that the National eLearning Conference 2026 (NeLC 2026) adopts the theme “EduVerse 2026: Orchestrating Intelligent Learning Ecosystems.” The theme recognizes that the future of education will not be defined by a single technology, platform, or digital solution. Instead, it will depend on the capacity of educational institutions and communities to orchestrate diverse technologies, people, learning experiences, data, and institutional systems as an interconnected ecosystem.
The concept of orchestration is central to this vision. Like an orchestra in which different instruments contribute distinct capabilities while working toward a unified composition, an intelligent learning ecosystem brings together diverse human and technological elements toward shared educational objectives. Artificial intelligence, learning platforms, data, digital resources, emerging technologies, educators, learners, and institutions each contribute different capabilities; their greater value emerges when these elements are thoughtfully connected, coordinated, and aligned.
Through EduVerse 2026, NeLC seeks to explore how this emerging ecosystem can transform the way education is designed, delivered, experienced, assessed, managed, and continuously improved. The conference particularly welcomes research, innovations, case studies, practices, and critical perspectives that examine how institutions can design, implement, manage, and evaluate intelligent learning ecosystems while keeping human learning, inclusion, ethics, creativity, and educational quality at the center. It invites educators, leaders, researchers, technology practitioners, policymakers, and industry partners to examine not only what new technologies can do, but also how people, technologies, data, and institutions can work together to shape the future of education.

NeLC 2026 will focus on three major sub-themes:

Artificial intelligence is transforming how educators design learning experiences, develop instructional materials, provide feedback, assess learning, and support individual learners. This sub-theme explores practical and research-based applications of generative AI, AI learning assistants, intelligent tutoring systems, automated and AI-supported assessment, adaptive learning, personalized learning, learning analytics, and other forms of human–AI collaboration in education.
