The 8th Annual Conference of the New England Chapter of AIS

The New England Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (NEAIS) is excited to invite submissions for its annual conference in 2026, to be held at Babson College, Wellesley, MA. In the past, this conference has attracted wide participation from AIS members both in the Northeastern region of United States and international and domestic scholars from other regions. Ph.D. students and junior faculty members are particularly welcome to join and share their research.

Important Dates:

• Submission Deadline: Sunday, August 30, 2026
• Decision to Authors: Tuesday, September 15, 2026
• Camera Ready Copy Due: Friday, September 25, 2025

Conference Format and Registration:

The NEAIS 2026 conference format will be in-person only. Babson College is in Wellesley, MA, right at Wellesley/Needham borders. The conference will be held on our residential campus located about 14 miles west of Boston. The campus is easily accessible from both the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90) and from Route 128 (Interstate 95). There is plenty of parking on campus (free of charge) and the conference building will be a short walk from most of the parking options on campus. The conference will be in HELV (Herring Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Village. See campus map here (babson-campus-map-wellesley.pdf).

Registration is required to attend, but there is no conference fee. The registration link will be available on the conference website later. All conference participants must join the NEAIS chapter before or at the beginning of the conference. The NEAIS membership fee is $10 annually for AIS members but is waived for doctoral students and Retired/Emeritus faculty. Submissions:

Please submit your paper via the EasyChair system that should be accessible from our conference website, Call for Submissions tab (Call for Submissions - New England USA Chapter or https://communities.aisnet.org/newenglandusachapter/events/neais26/call-for-submissions)

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another conference or journal. Submissions may be in the form of one of the following: completed research papers, research-in-progress papers, or proposals for panel discussions.

Abstracts of accepted papers will appear in the electronic conference proceedings, available from AIS eLibrary. The authors retain the copyright of their work. At least one author must register for and present at the conference. High-quality submissions will be considered for two Best Paper awards, sharing $1,000 in total.

Submission Template:

Submissions should be in MS Word or PDF format. The submission template can be accessed from the Call for Submissions tab (Call for Submissions - New England USA Chapter or https://communities.aisnet.org/newenglandusachapter/events/neais26/call-for-submissions ) on the conference website.

Submission Types:

• Completed Research: Completed research papers should be no more than 2,500 words, including all materials and sections such as figures, tables, and references.
• Research-in-Progress: Research-in-progress proposals (extended abstracts) or a summary of tentative results of the study to date of 500-1000 words.

While we encourage paper submissions related to our conference theme, authors are invited to submit their completed research, research-in-progress, and panel proposals in any of the following areas (but not limited to):
