CALL FOR STUDENT POSTERS
The 2020 Maritime Risk Symposium invites university and college students from throughout the United States and allied nations to participate in this year’s Maritime Risk Symposium Poster Competition.
The theme of this year’s Maritime Risk Symposium is “Resiliency.” The Department of Homeland Security defines resilient infrastructure systems as the “ability of systems, infrastructures, government, business, communities, and individuals to resist, tolerate, absorb, recover from, prepare for, or adapt to an adverse occurrence that causes harm, destruction, or loss of national significance.” While we invite applicants to submit research presentations that address this theme, we do not exclude research submissions that address other areas in the maritime domain.
Submissions will use the presentation template found in Box. All submissions (filled-in template posters) must be uploaded to the MRS EasyChair submission site no later than midnight, September 15, 2020.
Authors of accepted posters are invited to present online during the 2020 Maritime Risk Symposium, to be held the week of October 26-30, 2020. Specific details about the presentation date and platform will be outlined closer to the event.
Questions regarding the poster session may be submitted to the Poster Session Chair, Kevin Clement at Maritime-Poster@uh.edu.
