This Signal processing captures, interprets, describes and manipulates physical phenomena. Mathematics, statistics, probability, and stochasticprocesses are among the signal processing languages we use to interpret real-world phenomena, model them, and extract useful information. Thisbook comprises chapters on key problems in machine learning and signal processing arenas. Traditionally, signal processing and machine learningwere considered to be separate areas of research. However in recent times the two communities are getting closer Nowadays signal processingresearch is gravitating towards operator learning – instead of designing operators based on heuristics (for example wavelets), the trend is to learnthese operators (for example dictionary learning). And thus, the gap between signal processing and machine learning is fast converging. This bookalso presents the different kinds of signals that humans and machines use to communicate, and their treatments and applications. It will discussvarious mathematical methods involved in Signal Processing & Machine Learning, thereby enabling the students to design their own models andoptimize them efficiently. The Book will focus on mathematical principles, and there will be coding based assignments for implementation. Priorexposure to ML is not required. The Book will be focused on applications in signal processing and communication
All Chapters must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before 15th May, 2021 , a chapter abstract of apporximately 500 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by 15th June, 2021 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by 10th Dec, 2021 25 Jan 2022 and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.scrivenerpublishing.com/guidelines.php prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.
