Conference Introduction:
Global trade today faces increasing volatility from geopolitical shifts, sustainability imperatives, and rapid technological advances, all imposing new demands on the maritime and logistics sectors that sustain trade flows. Automation, data-driven decision-making, and integrated supply chains are already enhancing throughput and reliability. Yet evolving infrastructure and regulatory requirements demand measurable operational responses aligned with long-term objectives.

Looking toward Vision 2050, the maritime and logistics sectors will undergo profound transformation. Fully autonomous shipping, AI-optimized supply chains, digital twins of ports, predictive analytics, and green port infrastructure are expected to become standard features. These advances will redefine efficiency, resilience, and environmental responsibility, creating a global trade ecosystem that is both highly adaptive and environmentally conscious.

Under the title Building Future Bridges of Global Trade: Advancing Maritime Alliances towards Vision 2050, MARLOG 16 focuses on the power of collaboration. In an era of rapid technological shifts and urgent sustainability needs, strategic alliances can create a more resilient, integrated, and efficient maritime sector. The conference will examine practical operational solutions and actionable strategies to strengthen resilience, modernize infrastructure, develop the workforce, and equip the global maritime trade system for a sustainable and robust future by 2050.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Abstract

Maximum 300 words, in English, stating purpose, methodology, findings and relevance to one of the ten themes. Up to five keywords. Submitted through the online portal only — e-mail submissions are not reviewed. kindly limit the abstract to only one page.

Full paper

• The Full Paper should be written following the format provided Download Full Paper Template

• The Full paper should be submitted via the EasyChair link before 1^st of October 2026.

• Submission Limit – Each first author is allowed to submit only one paper, as each first author is allocated only a single presentation slot during the conference, and you may submit more than one paper by changing the first author.

• Authors must include only one of the following statements in their paper—either declaring the use of AI tools (specifying the tool name and purpose) or confirming that no generative AI or AI-assisted tools were used.

Language

Research abstracts and papers have to be written in English language, as well as all PowerPoint presentations. Presenters should be sufficiently fluent in English to run presentation and discussion on high academic standards.

Duration

The time slot for each presentation is 20 minutes for regular presentations. Session chairs will hold presentations strictly to the allotted time. Questions will be viewed and discussed at the end of the session.

Powepoint Templates

The conference organizers provide the templates for preparing the presentations. The authors are not allowed to use templates with colorful backgrounds and are entirely responsible for the presentation content (order, the loading, graphics...etc.). The template will be available for download after confirming the approval of your paper. For further instructions, consult the Conference Technical Staff or the Organizing Committee.

Presentation files format

PowerPoint files (*.ppt, *.pptx) are recommended. Movies or animations in MPEG, Windows Media, AVI, etc., should be tested with the Conference Technical Staff before session starts.

Submit & Test presentation files in advance

Authors should send their presentations to the organizing committee 2 days before the conference. If not ready, author should provide a copy (preferably on a USB memory stick or USB memory drive) to the Conference Technical Staff at the beginning of the day to print out them for simultaneous translators. Presenters can have the opportunity to check their presentations during the break before session starts.

Note: Presenters are not allowed to detach the session laptop and attach their own notebook/laptop to the LCD projector in the session hall.
