Latin American countries urgently need to collaborate, join efforts and grow together in various fields, especially in those that can significantly improve the educational level of our people. Learning technologies are widely considered to be the cornerstone of a new educational era. To stay at the forefront of this evolution, it is essential that Latin American countries have an active forum to discuss the latest technological innovations applicable to our unique regional contexts.
LACLO aims to be this vital forum. We encourage researchers, developers and education professionals to join us to share their innovative experiences and technological advances in learning technologies. Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
Submissions to LACLO 2024 are welcome in the form of:
- RESEARCH PAPERS
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers describing scientific research papers, surveying works and educational experiences describing significant advances. Papers should be 12 to 15 pages long, including bibliography,
- Short papers describing early results or work in progress with initial findings. Papers should be 4 to 6 pages long, including bibliography.
All submissions (full and short papers) will be peer-reviewed by three experts and returned to the author(s). Submissions may be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish, but in the case of Portuguese or Spanish, a title and abstract in English is also required.
Authors are requested to remove personal details, the acknowledgements section and any reference that may reveal the identity of the authors. Authors should follow Springer's instructions for authors and use the Proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or MS Word, when preparing their papers.
Full papers and short papers are published by indexed editorials.
All papers must be submitted via EasyChair using PDF format only.
- LEARNING OBJECT/EDUCATIONAL APPLICATIONS COMPETITION
We invite authors to submit their Learning Objects or Educational Applications for the upcoming competition. Submissions should include either the object/application itself or a link to an executable version, accompanied by a text file containing the following basic information: authors, subject, audience, and technical requirements (if any).
In addition to the Learning Object/Application and its metadata, authors must provide a presentation paper adhering to the conference's standard format. This paper should detail the methodology and technologies used during development, the learning experiences facilitated by the object/application, and any other pertinent features.
Submissions will be evaluated by a committee of experts. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their learning objects/applications at the conference. The accompanying presentation paper will be published with an ISBN.

- CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
We invite you to submit your proposals for workshops at the upcoming conference. Workshops provide a valuable opportunity for focused and informal discussions on topics of shared interest. We offer both half-day and full-day workshop formats.
Proposal Requirements:
- Abstract: Maximum 150 words.
- Title: Clear and descriptive. Submit your paper with the prefix "Workshop:" in the title.
- Workshop Topic: Description and relevance.
- Aim and Objectives: Goals of the workshop.
- Activities: Planned activities and structure.
- Outcomes: Expected results or benefits for participants.
- Logistics: Specify the audio/visual equipment required, the maximum number of participants, and the duration (half-day or full-day).
- Organiser(s): Names and backgrounds of the organiser(s).
