Submission Guidelines
We are pleased to announce our workshop offered in conjunction with the 23nd International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction with Mobile Devices and Services (MobileHCI2021): Interactive Technology for Cycling — ideate, make – remote, together. We invite authors to submit a position paper of up to 5 pages (new ACM single-column format) showcasing their interest or experience in the topic. Position papers in PDF-format are due by May 31, 2021. Admittance will be based on workshop relevance and the potential of contributing to discussions and actions, as reviewed by the workshop organisers. At least one author must attend the workshop. All participants must register for the workshop and at least one day of the conference. For more detailed information, visit the workshop’s website.
Topics of interest
Topics of interest include anything related to interaction while riding in the bike lane with a focus on the target group of vulnerable road users (VRUs) like people riding a bicycle, e-scooter, hoverboard etc. Topics of interest include but are not restricted to:
- Mobile applications for riding e.g. navigation apps
- Interacting with everyday applications while riding
- Evaluation methods for novel interfaces in the bike lane
- Hardware/Software solutions to add or extend functionality to existing forms of transportations e.g. controllers attached or build into vehicles
- AR/VR solutions to evaluate or build features for VRUs
